Libia Brenda

Libia Brenda studied languages and literature and has been working in the editorial market for 20 years. As a narrator, she writes speculative fiction and fantastic literature. Her short stories were published in several anthologies and magazines and were translated to English and Italian. As an editor, she has organized several science fiction and fantasy publications. In 2019, she became the first mexican woman to be nominated for a Hugo Award for her participation in Mexicanx Initiave (Worldcon 76) and for the edition of Una realidad más amplia/A Larger Reality, a bilingual anthology. Her most recent editorial project is Un universo en el que no nos extinguimos. Una realidad más amplia 2.0, a bilingual science fiction anthology with scientific themes that bring together more than 50 minifiction, scientific paper and graphic art collaborators; it was published in English and Spanish and is distributed freely at http://alargerreality.mx/2019. She is one of the happy founders of Cúmulo de Tesla (Twitter @Cumulodetesla), a collective dedicated to creating and broadcasting the dialog between art and science with no boundaries.
