Laura Ponce (Buenos Aires, 1972) is a writer, editor and cultural manager. Her short stories have appeared in magazines and anthologies from Argentina, Cuba, Spain, Uruguay, Chile, Peru and Colombia. She was translated into French and English. She is part of the editorial direction team of Axxón, the first digital magazine in Spanish. Since 2009 she leads Revista Próxima and Ayarmanot Editions, dedicated to science fiction and strange narratives written in castellan. She teaches workshops, courses and delivers speeches about genre narrative, reading and writing. She coordinated Ayamanot Editions Presents: literature and music cycle. She organises Science Fiction and Fantasy Tertúlias in Buenos Aires. She participates in the organisation of Pórtico: Science Fiction Encounters, that unites the characteristics of an academic event with activities dedicated to fandom. She had a monthly column in Amazing Stories website and took part in the radio show Contragolpe with a weekly column. She is part of Project Synco: technology, science fiction and future observatory, that questions the political readings permitted by the genre. Her short story book Cosmogonia Profound was published in Spain and Argentina (The Ping Machine, 2018; Ayarmanot, 2020).
